That single win came at Chepstow in September 2025, and it remains the high point of a four-year-old career that has otherwise been defined by near-misses and mid-pack finishes. Two placed efforts show the horse has occasionally been competitive, but the recent run of form — finishing fourth, fifth, tenth, fifth, ninth, and eighth across its last six outings — paints a picture of a horse that is finding things tough right now. The tenth-place finish in that sequence is particularly eyecatching, and not in a good way.

The most encouraging detail in Blue Point Express's record is what happens when the trip is right. Over seven furlongs to a mile, the horse has won 1 from 5 races — a 20% win rate, or 1 in every 5 — which is actually a very respectable return at this level. That is a meaningful difference from its overall record and suggests there is a genuine preference there worth paying attention to. Get the distance wrong and you are unlikely to see the best of it.

Adrian Wintle trains the horse from his yard in Westbury-On-Severn, Gloucestershire, and it is a stable in decent form — 30 winners on the board this season is a solid total and shows the team knows how to get horses ready to win. Blue Point Express, though, has not added to its tally since that Chepstow success ten months ago, despite racing just yesterday and clearly being kept busy. Competing almost exclusively at Class 6 — the lowest rung of British racing — the horse has won 1 from 10 races at that level, a 10% return. Even in the easiest company available, wins have been hard to come by.

For a general racing fan, Blue Point Express is the kind of horse that makes up the bulk of any race card — honest, consistent in its effort, and very occasionally capable of a result. The Chepstow win proves it can get there. Doing it again is the challenge.
