Bintwillsea

Bintwillsea made its racing debut just a day ago, finishing ninth in a two-year-old race. The horse is trained by Jonathan Portman at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, a yard that has already sent out 46 winners this season and clearly knows how to prepare young horses for the track. With only one race under its belt, there is very little to judge yet — a single outing tells you almost nothing about what a horse might become. Plenty of future winners finish well down the field on their first try. Portman's team will learn far more about Bintwillsea as it races again over the coming months.
