Gordon Elliott's Longwood yard in County Meath has been in tremendous form this season, sending out 210 winners already, so Bigcitydreams will be trained with all the resources and expertise you would expect from one of Ireland's leading operations. That said, a debut at 5 years old is unusual — most horses race much younger — and what that delay means for this particular animal is anybody's guess. It could simply be that the yard felt it needed extra time to mature and strengthen. Without a single race under its belt, there is no way to know whether it will take to the track or how it will handle the pressure and pace of racing against other horses. That remains the whole story, and the racecourse will tell it for the first time.
