His recent run at Worcester this week was a winner, and it came at Class 4 level, which is where he's shown his best return: one win from three races at that grade, a win rate of 33 percent. That matters, because it means there's a particular level where Big Cadillac belongs. Harry Skelton rides him most often — they've had five runs together and one of those was a win, which works out to about one in every five. Dan Skelton's Alcester yard has been productive this season with 198 winners sent out, and they clearly feel there's something to work with here.

His breakthrough came at Chepstow back in January, and now he's added a second victory less than a year later. At six years old he's still young enough to improve, or at least to keep finding races at his level where a turn of foot or a good ride from Skelton might be enough. The form pattern suggests Big Cadillac is a steady hand rather than a flashy talent — a horse that will give you a couple of placed efforts for every winning day — but at Class 4, that's exactly the kind of profile that keeps racing.
