Betterluckthistime
Betterluckthistime is a 4-year-old still searching for a first win after three races without a victory or a place finish. The horse ran ten days ago, then nine days before that, and twelve days before that — a busy schedule that suggests the trainer is trying to find the right race and conditions.
P J Rothwell's yard at Tinahely in Co Wicklow has been in fine form this season, sending out 35 winners, so there is clearly quality horsemanship behind the decision to keep running Betterluckthistime.

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Three races with nothing to show for it is a tough start, but it is far too early to write off a 4-year-old. The recent runs suggest Rothwell is not giving up on the horse — he is running it regularly, which means he sees something worth persisting with. With the right race, the right ground, and a bit of luck falling the horse's way, Betterluckthistime could yet break through.
