Berlinetta

Trained by Jack Channon at West Ilsley in Berkshire, Berlinetta is at least in good hands. Channon's yard has sent out 46 winners this season, which shows the operation knows how to get horses winning — the question is simply whether Berlinetta can be one of them. Most of the horse's races have come at Class 5 level, which is the workaday end of the sport where the competition is at its most accessible. Three runs at that level and still no win is a challenge, but it is worth remembering that some horses take time to find their feet, and at three years old there is still time on the clock.

Berlinetta raced just yesterday and remains active, so another opportunity is presumably not far away. For now, it is a horse with more questions than answers — but every winner was once winless, and Jack Channon's yard clearly knows how to find the key to a horse eventually.
