Beggars Rock

The horse's form suggests he thrives on normal ground. He has won 3 of his last 11 races on standard conditions, a win rate of roughly 1 in every 4 races, which is genuinely strong for a horse of his level. Soft or heavy ground, by contrast, seems to dull him. He is trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue at Clonalvy in County Meath, a yard that has been firing this season with 29 winners already, and he is most often ridden by Kevin Sexton.
