That is the only stretch of the track where Beattie Is Back shows genuine ability. Trained by Richard and Peter Fahey at their yard in North Yorkshire, the horse is ridden most often by Oisin Orr, though that partnership has produced no winners from nine races together—a sign they may not quite click. The Fahey yard itself is doing well this season with 23 winners, but Beattie Is Back has not been part of the momentum. For a horse this long in the tooth with a modest win tally spread across three years, racing days are becoming fewer and farther between. It remains a game campaigner, but one that has given nearly everything it has to give.
