Asthelightdeclines
Asthelightdeclines, a 4-year-old trained by
Gavin Cromwell at Navan, has yet to trouble the judge in four outings. The horse has finished sixth, seventh and seventh in its last three races—a run of form that suggests it is still searching for its level in the racing game. With no wins and no places to its name, Asthelightdeclines remains winless after 4 races (0 from 4), though the horse is clearly active and racing regularly, with its most recent outing just a day ago.

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Cromwell's yard at Navan has been in fine form this season, sending out 96 winners, so the trainer plainly knows how to get horses to the track in winning order. That said, Asthelightdeclines has not yet benefited from that expertise. At four years old, the horse is past the point where massive improvement might reasonably be expected, but continued racing will reveal whether this one is simply running in races a touch beyond its capabilities, or whether a drop in standard might finally see it break its duck. For now, it remains a work in progress.
