At Redcar, Archduke Ferdinand has won 2 races from just 3 visits — that's a remarkable record. Most horses win somewhere between 1 in 10 and 1 in 6 of their races across a career; winning 2 from 3 at one track suggests something about the course genuinely suits this horse, whether that's the shape of the turns, the way the ground tends to ride there, or simply a happy hunting ground built on confidence. The last of those Redcar wins came in May 2025, so the memory is fresh. On dry or normal ground, things also click into place: 3 wins from 10 races on fast, dry ground works out to 30%, and 2 wins from 8 on normal conditions gives 25%. Those are strong numbers for a horse operating mainly at Class 4 level, where competition is solid without being elite.
