Trained by Gary Hanmer out of Tattenhall in Cheshire, All About Moi operates at Class 5, which is the entry-level tier of British racing — the kind of races designed to give horses like this a winnable opportunity. And yet, in three attempts at that level, there has been nothing to show for it. Hanmer's yard has been in decent form this season, sending out 19 winners, so the infrastructure and knowhow are there. All About Moi simply hasn't been able to take advantage of it.
The horse raced just yesterday, so the yard — sorry, the team — clearly haven't given up. Sometimes it takes time for a horse to find its confidence, its right distance, or the right conditions. But until the finishing positions start creeping closer to the front, All About Moi remains a horse that racing fans would describe, with a degree of affection, as a work in progress.
