Alkaios

Trained by Steph Hollinshead at Upper Longdon in Staffordshire, Alkaios is part of a yard that has already produced seven winners this season. For a young horse still hunting that elusive first victory, there is reason for cautious optimism. The improving trend in his recent form suggests he may be developing into a race-fit competitor, and with his trainer's yard in reasonable form, the conditions are there for Alkaios to break through sooner rather than later. Racing is rarely predictable, but a horse that finishes closer with each outing has at least demonstrated he belongs on a racetrack.
