She clearly has the speed and stamina for those middle distances, and a trainer as astute as D K Weld at the Curragh would know this better than most. Weld's yard has already sent out twenty-one winners this season, so there is competence and resources behind her. Her recent form is mixed—a ninth-place finish fourteen months ago, then nothing recorded until her last six runs, which show a ninth, followed by back-to-back placings, a third, a fourth, and a ninth last time out—a pattern that suggests she has been running without winning but occasionally showing enough to place.

The real question now is whether Alice Monet can recapture whatever worked in July 2025. She is still young and clearly capable of placing regularly, which means she is not broken as a racer. Get her back to her ideal distance and conditions, and there could be another win waiting. For now, she remains a work in progress.
