Trained by John and Thady Gosden at their Newmarket yard, Algaihabane is part of a powerful operation. The Gosdens have sent out 140 winners already this season, so the horse is in experienced hands and surrounded by plenty of quality. For a two-year-old with just four races under its belt, a 25% win rate and at least one top-3 finish suggests it has ability worth developing. The next step will be seeing whether Algaihabane can string together some consistent performances and find the winner's circle again — or whether that Sandown victory was the high point so far. It's far too early to draw firm conclusions from such a small sample, but the win is there to build on.
