The most interesting detail is how recent the form remains: Aleatrix raced just a day ago and finished fifth, which followed a second-place finish and a first before that. The horse was last in the winner's enclosure two months back, so there's been some slippage in results since that Salisbury success. That said, a young horse bouncing between victories and placings while still learning its trade is hardly unusual, and the record shows it has the ability to get its head in front. Ralph Beckett's yard, based in Kimpton, has sent out 107 winners already this season, so Aleatrix is in the hands of a trainer who clearly knows how to develop talent and get winners out on the track. There's every reason to think this three-year-old will add to its tally.
