Al Widyan

The colt is trained by Andrew Balding at Kingsclere in Hampshire, one of the country's most successful yards. Balding's operation has already sent out 202 winners this season, so Al Widyan is in capable hands as it continues to learn what racing demands. For a young horse still in single figures for races, a top-3 finish already represents real progress, and the fact that it raced as recently as yesterday shows it is being kept active and given regular opportunities to improve. Time will tell whether this colt develops into something more substantial, but early exposure to the track is often exactly what young horses need.
