What makes this worth watching is who is doing the training. Michael Bell's Newmarket yard has sent out 44 winners already this season, which is a serious tally and tells you this is a stable that knows how to get horses ready to perform. When a yard of that quality runs a young horse, they tend to have a reason — two-year-olds are a long-term project, and a seventh-place finish on debut tells you almost nothing about where a horse might end up. Most of the greats lost their first race.
It is genuinely too early to draw conclusions. One run at two years old is little more than an introduction to the game. The interesting question is what comes next.
