The real standout is the partnership with Paul O'Brien. In six races together, O'Brien has ridden A Dublin Job to victory three times, a 50% win rate that is genuinely impressive and suggests a real understanding between jockey and horse. When O'Brien is in the saddle, this horse performs at another level entirely. Away from O'Brien, the record falls away noticeably. The horse also thrives on normal ground conditions, where it has won three of 15 races — a 20% record that is substantially better than what it manages elsewhere. On faster, drier ground or in softer conditions, the horse struggles to reproduce that form.

Trainer Sarah-Jayne Davies, based at Leominster in Herefordshire, will be hoping to get the horse back into a winning groove. A Dublin Job's last victory came at Warwick on 21 May 2025, now 17 months ago, and it has failed to win in its last six races. The most recent runs show a horse treading water: fourth, sixth, fifth, sixth, fifth — the kind of mid-field consistency that keeps a horse racing but does nothing to rebuild confidence. That said, it raced just a day ago, so the horse remains active and the yard clearly believes there is more to come. With O'Brien, normal ground, and a Class 5 race at the right track, A Dublin Job has shown it can still do a job. Finding those exact conditions again will be the challenge.
